Dr Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall, Partner at Tanti-Dougall & Associates, Advocates has participated at the ‘Scientific Conference of Aviation Medicine‘ organised by Transport Malta on 11th October, 2012 and held at the Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel in Malta. The one day conference which attracted a good number of participants who were mainly airline pilots, cabin and ground crew from Air Malta plc, was addressed by Dr Paul Sciriha M.D., Chief Medical Officer of the national carrier, Dr Paul Soler M.D., FRCP, FRCPCH, Mr E. Farrugia, M.D.,FRCS (Eng), FRCS (Ed), Dr Peter Muscat M.D., FRC Psych, and Profs. C. Savona Ventura M.D., D.Sc.Med (Warsaw), FRCOG (Lon), Accr.C.O.G. (Leuven), FRCPI.
Topics discussed during the conference on aviation medicine included travelling neonatal intensive patients, aviation experiences with tinnitus, dizziness and vertigo, the psychiatric traveller and women flyers.
