A successful Health & Safety Week was held between 28th May and 1st June 2012 for the team members responsible for health and safety at the Corinthia Hotel St. Georges Bay, in St. Julians, Malta.
The event which was organized with the collaboration of the Marina Hotel at the Corinthia Beach Resort also in St. Julians and the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard within the CHI Group, included intensive first aid training, fire training under the direction of the Civil Protection Department, procedures regarding the handling of food complaints as well as other various health & safety issues.
Participants at the Health & Safety Week also included team members from Panorama Hotel Prague and Corinthia Hotel Tripoli also within the CHI Group of Hotels.
Dr Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall, Partner at Tanti-Dougall & Associates, Advocates, who was partly responsible for the organization of the Health & Safety Week delivered three lectures on ‘Health & Safety’, ‘Risk Assessments’ and ‘Accident Investigation’ within the hotel industry explaining the legal implications thereof.
