Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall, an Associate with Advocates Tanti-Dougall & Associates, participated at The Yacht & Super Yacht Symposium organized by the Malta Institute of Management at Westin Dragonara Resort on June 5th, 2015.
The well attended symposium by key players in the yachting industry, addressed various issues including EU Tax and how it could affect super yachts, certain legal issues when registering yachts and super yachts under Malta’s regime, insurance warranties for super yachts, problems arising in marketing the industry, yacht maintenance on the island and Malta’s future as a super yacht logistics’ hub. Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall formed part of a panel of expert lawyers together with Dr Anthony Galea from DF Advocates and Dr Adrian Muscat Inglott from Muscat Azzopardi & Associates, Advocates, who discussed the theme: ‘Common Problems in Yacht & Super Yacht Registration: A Legal Perspective’. The panel was chaired by Dr Michael Tanti-Dougall.
Dr Rebekah Tanti-Dougall, an LL.M. graduate in Maritime Law from IMO’s IMLI, is an active member of Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association [WISTA].
