It would appear that 2013 will be a record year for hotel transactions, much higher than in 2012 when hotel transactions on the European scenario alone had then reached Euro 5.6 billion. Intercontinental Hotel in Cannes fetched some Euro 450 million.

Intercontinental has announced that it has already signed a deal to develop fifteen (15) new hotels to be operated under Holiday Inn Express Hotels, in Russia whilst Hilton will be expanding its group with another ten (10) new hotels in both Germany and Austria.
