Apple Inc. is suing rival Korean electronics giant, Samsung, for alleged copying of the ‘IPad’ and ‘IPhone’ designs in Samsung’s ‘Galaxy’ range of phones and tablets. The claim specifically addresses the aesthetics of Samsung's products.

The lawsuit filed by Apple Inc. on Friday 15th April, 2011 claims that Samsung has violated relative patent when it allegedly copied the Apple's 'IPad' and 'IPhone' designs ... a claim which Samsung is strongly contesting.

Apple Inc. spokeswoman, Kristin Huguet, is quoted to have said that: "This kind of blatant copying is wrong." However, a spokesman from Samsung said in a statement that its products are a result of research and development, stating: “Samsung's development of core technologies and strengthening our intellectual property portfolio are keys to our continued success.”
