TD&A NEWS: Participation at Travel & Tourism International Trade Fair and MENA Forum – FITUR2015

Dr Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall and Dr Michael Tanti-Dougall, of Advocates, Tanti-Dougall & Associates, were invited to the Travel & Tourism International Trade Fair - FITUR 2015 held at the IFEMA, Ferie de Madrid, in Spain between the 28th January and 1st February 2015.

Participants at the successful FITUR 2015 came from across the globe and included numerous tourism authorities, leading airline and cruise liner companies, international chains of hotel groups, various hospitality industry stakeholders including those in operating in transport by land, sea and air, medical tourism, adventure tourism, religious tourism, space tourism, sustainable tourism, green tourism, shopping tourism, as well as various leading global travelling agents from different countries from all continents.

Dr Jacqueline and Dr Michael Tanti-Dougall, were also inter alia invited by UNWTO [the United Nations World Tourism Organisation] to participate at the Ministerial Forum on “Tourism Development Policies and Strategies in the MENA [Middle East and North Africa] Region” organised by UNWTO together with Casa Arabe which well attended forum was addressed by high profile speakers, including H.E. Dr Taleb Rifal, Secretary General of UNWTO, H.E. Ignacio Ybanez Rubino, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Spain, Mr Eduardo Lopez Busquets, Director General of Casa Arabe, Mr Amr Abdel-Ghaffar, UNWTO Regional Director for the Middle East, H.E. Mr Lachen Haddad, Minister of Tourism of Morocco, Ms Wahida Jaiet, Director General of ONTT of Tunisia, H.E. Mr Michel Pharaon, Minister of Tourism of Lebanon, H.E. Mr Abdeirazza Arablyat, Director General of Jordan Tourism Board, H.E. Ms Rula Ma’ayah, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Palestine, H.E. Mr Adil Fahad Shrshab, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Iraq and H.E. Ms Maitha Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism of Oman.

Casa Arabe is the Spanish public consortium headed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, operating a strategic centre for Spain’s relations including tourism, with the Arab world.
