Tanti-Dougall & Associates, Advocates feature on the latest edition of the prestigious international legal publication Corporate INTL issued in January 2012 which carries special coverage of what Malta has to offer in terms of financial services, corporate structures, fiscal benefits and i-gaming to mention but a few of the areas addressed therein.

Dr Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall, Partner at Tanti-Dougall& Associates, Advocates has provided an excellent contribution on the many and various legal aspects of Health & Safety with particular emphasis on the hotel industry. Malta enjoys a comprehensive legislative framework pertaining to Health & Safety. "Especially in the hotel industry there is a vast number of health and safety laws, which if breached lead to criminal sanctions against the hotel. Consequently, in this field a hotilier may be charged with both criminal action and civil action if he fails to provide a safe environment 'as much as is reasonable'" emphasised Dr. Jacqueline Tanti-Dougall who has been providing advice to the hotel industry both in Malta and in other countries on Health & Safety issues. She is a lecturer at the University of Malta on the matter and has delivered many papers at international seminars and conferences.

In his contribution which is entitled 'Foreign Investment', Dr Michael Tanti-Dougall, Senior Partner at Tanti-Dougall & Associates, Advocates, comments that "with the appropriate corporate structure, multinationals seeking to operate in Malta or through Malta can benefit from an advantageous tax regime, including access to 59 double tax treaties as well as the many and varied EU directives, making the little island of Malta, indeed, an attractive platform and jurisdiction of choice for a wide range of business activities."
